The allegations and counter-allegations of post poll violence across Tripura brought by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) in the last three days after declaration of the election results took worst turn forcing the administration to clamp 144 of the CrPC in different districts of the State besides deployment of massive central paramilitary personnel.
According to report, more than 770 incidents were reported in three days from different parts of the State where more than 1000 people were hurt and about 54 were shifted to different hospitals.
In an incident of violence, at least 30 villagers including 11 women were injured on Monday night at Dhalaibill Pal Para of Dhalabil in Khowai.
There were allegations that SPO jawans and DRA personnel had suddenly stormed the locality at midnight and started beating villagers workers.
They, however, fled away when villagers resorted to counter-attack.
