Contributions to the Assam CM’s Relief Fund (CMRF) continue to pour in as several organizations and individuals have made donations towards the fund on Thursday.
The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund is intended to extend a helping hand to the poorest of the poor who are in distress.

Amongst organizations, Pratiksha Hospital and Green Valley Industries Limited contributed Rs. 10 lakh each and Avantika Innovations Pvt. Limited made contribution amounting to Rs. 50,000 towards CMRF today.
On the other hand, while retired judge of Gauhati High Court Biplab Kumar Sharma contributed Rs. 3 lakh, actors Jatin Bora and Navanita Sharma Bora donated Rs. one lakh to the CMRF.
Apart from this, MI Lifestyle Marketing Global Private Limited contributed Rs. 7 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) on Wednesday.

The Assam government has also announced that the people and organisations can also donate to the CMRF by using UPI ID or scanning the QR code.
A post on the MyGov Assam’s Twitter handle said: “Now donate easily to CM’s Relief Fund by using UPI ID or scanning the QR code.”

It may be mentioned that the Assam government has recently made an appeal to the people and organizations to donate for supporting the flood affected people in the state.
Notably, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar contributed Rs 2 crore on Wednesday to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and for rescue of animals in Kaziranga National Park.
