Senior journalist Oinam Sunil Singh has been appointed as the State Information Commissioner of Manipur on Friday.
The department of personnel and administrative reforms of Manipur government has issued a notification in this regard on Friday.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 15 of the Right to Information Act, 2005, the Governor of Manipur hereby appoints (1) Dr S Ibocha Singh, IPS (Retired), (2) Shri Oinam Sunil Singh as the State Information Commissioners,” the notification said.
Oinam Sunil Singh was the senior assistant editor, northeast of the Times of India in Guwahati.
