The joint advisor of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) under NITI Aayog, Manas Choudhary, called on Sikkim chief minister P S Golay at Samman Bhawan on Wednesday.
The meeting was also attended by state agriculture minister Lok Nath Sharma, head of line departments and officers concerned of the nodal department.

Various points were discussed on improving the production of farmers within the stipulated time.
The chief minister stressed on the condition of farmers of Sikkim who need support from all directions and urged the departments to pay utmost heed on the matter.
PMKSY is a flagship programme of the Central Government which is dedicated to economic augmentation of the farmers by doubling their income.
WSD, RMDD and Forestry are also the indispensable members and line departments of this programme.
