With the inauguration of the Bogibeel Bridge over River Brahmaputra on Tuesday, N F Railway is also set to introduce two new Intercity Express trains connecting Tinsukia and Naharlagun via the new bridge.
While one train will run five days in a week, another will run weekly, stated a press release from the NFR Chief Public Relation Officer, Pranav Jyoti Sharma.
The inaugural special train will run on December 25 and regular services will follow from December 26.
Train no 15908 will leave Naharlagun at 05:30 am every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to arrive at Tinsukia at 11:00 am.
In the return direction, train no 15907 will leave Tinsukia at 4:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and arrive at Naharlagun at 9:15 pm.
The other train also follows similar schedules.
The trains will have stoppages at New Tinsukia,Dibrugarh, Dhamalgaon, Dhemaji, Gogamukh, North Lakhimpur and Harmuti.
On December 25, the inaugural special train no 05907 will start from Dibrugarh at 11:30 am and arrive Naharlagun at 6:45 pm.
