The ‘First Nagaland Music Industry Stakeholders Conclave’ will be held at Jotsoma in Kohima district of Nagaland on Friday.

The event will be held at Regional Centre for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA) in Jotsoma to mark the occasion of World Music Day 2019.

The theme of the event is ‘Music and Arts to Greater Heights’. The event will be held by Music Task Force (MTF) of Nagaland under the Department of Youth Resources and Sports.

The event will feature a conclave, workshops, open mic and a concert.

A music equipment donation drive was organized to collect old music instruments from the public in order to help poor music learners of the State.

The first phase of the event will be a conclave which will start at 11 am on Friday. The conclave will feature a discussion on the music industry of Nagaland.

The special guest of the conclave will be Advisor of Youth Affairs and Sports Zale Neikha.

The second phase of the event will feature various kinds of workshops on music and will be held in the afternoon from 1 pm to 2 pm.

The third phase of the event will be the open mic which will be held from 2.30 pm to 4 pm.

The special guest of this event will be YRS secretary Lhouchalie Viya.

The open mic will be held to provide a platform for the musicians of the state to showcase their talents.

A concert will be held in the evening from 5 pm. The special guest of the concert will be Advisor of Rural Development Department Neikiesalie Nicky Kire.

Many regional bands and musicians of the state will enthrall the audience during the concert.
