On the occasion of 57th Statehood Day of Nagaland on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the people of the state and called them as “compassionate and courageous”.

In a tweet he said, “Best wishes to my sisters and brothers of Nagaland on their Statehood Day. This state is known for its great culture. The people of Nagaland are compassionate and courageous.”

 

President Ram Nath Kovind also took to his tweeter to wish the people of Nagaland on the occasion of 57th Statehood Day of the state.

“Greetings to the people of Nagaland on statehood day. Nagaland offers a unique blend of heritage, culture and natural beauty. My best wishes to all the people of this beautiful state for a bright, prosperous and peaceful future,” he tweeted.

 

“The world is changing rapidly in recent times. While changes create challenges, it also brings opportunities,” tweeted Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on the occasion.

“On this day, let us once again resolve to rededicate ourselves for working steadfastly towards making #Nagaland one of the most admired and developed States in #India,” Rio further said.

 

“On this day in 1963, the State of Nagaland came into existence as the 16th State of the Union of India,” the CM said while attending the statehood celebrations.

“We look with pride the stupendous journey the State has made since its birth. May we continue to go from strength to strength,” he added.

Nagaland chief secretary Temjen Toy in a tweet urged to people to work towards a better, cleaner, united and progressive Nagaland.

In a tweet, Toy said, “Greetings on the #57th NagalandStatehoodDay. Let us all pledge to work towards a better, cleaner, united and progressive Nagaland. We can if we want @KohimaRaj @Neiphiu_Rio.”
