Papersky, one of the most promising bands to come out from Nagaland in the recent years, have now launched its “comeback tour.”
The band will kick start the new journey on September 7 at the Symphony Café in Kohima.
The four-member band has vocalist-guitarist Jongma H Ungh, bass guitarist Augustine Eliem, lead guitarist Nourhevilie Khate and Yanger Jamir on the drums.
After the first comeback performance in Kohima, the Papersky members will be in Shillong on September 13, for a gig at The Evening Club.
With music, Papersky always talks about life, its ups and downs.
The members of Papersky are hopeful that the two songs – “Lullaby” and “Insanity” are going to rock the northeast.
The song ‘Lullaby’ is quite different from their earlier work. It is grungy, powerful and there are a lot of over-driven guitar notes accompanied by a strong groove.
They also plan to try their recent songs — ‘Where Are You Now’ and ‘Say’ during the comeback tour.
Papersky will be in Guwahati on September 14. They are going to perform at Café Hendrix in Guwahati.
The band plans to wrap up the come-back tour on September 20 at the Dimapur Music Fest.
Formed in 2013, Papersky had first competed at the Hornbill Rock Contest in 2014. Although they were not the winners, they were feted as the Most Promising Band.
Papersky won the first edition of Battle of the Bands Nagaland in 2014. In March 2019, the band won the competition Project Play, hosted at the Drift Music Festival in Guwahati.
