Nagaland has witnessed a sudden spike in Covid-19 infections. 

At least 31 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Nagaland on Thursday.

One person has also died of the infection during the day, the health and family welfare department informed. 

Among the new cases, Dimapur recorded 30 and Kohima 1. 

There were five recoveries, all in Dimapur, in the state in the last 24 hours.

The total caseload in the state stands at 32,247 and the active cases at 82.  

So far, 687 people died of the infection while 30,382 have recovered from it.  

Altogether 1,080 people migrated from the state.
