Nagaland’s Covid19 tally reached 9,151 on Tuesday after the state registered 55 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status said: “Update! 55 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today.”

According to health minister Phom, of the new cases, Dimapur district has reported 39 new cases, Kohima 13, Mon 2 and Peren district has reported 1 case.

Meanwhile, 180 more positive patients have recovered from the disease, the health minister said.

The recoveries include 162 from Dimapur, 6 each from Kohima and Mon, 3 each from Kiphire and Peren district.

According to the bulletin on Covid19 released by the Nagaland health department, the state currently has 1,238 active cases.

So far, a total of 7,786 patients have recovered from the disease.

The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 36 people while 83 positive patients have migrated from the state.

“Wear Mask, Keep Distance, Stay Safe,” Phom appealed to the people in the tweet.
