Guwahati: A youth from Nagaland has drawn attention on social media after arranging the delivery of 150 pizzas to protesters participating in the Cockroach Janta Party‘s (CJP) agitation at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, saying he wanted to support those who had travelled from across the country to join the agitation.
The protest has brought together students and supporters demanding accountability from the government and resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET question paper leaks and educational reforms.
In an Instagram post, Zha Lhou said he was unable to travel to Delhi but wanted to contribute to the protest in another way.
“Tonight, I couldn’t enjoy my own dinner with the grief that I couldn’t be there at the protest, and my fellow brothers and sisters are there starving,” he wrote.
He said he ordered 150 Domino’s Farmhouse Cheese Burst pizzas and asked the delivery partner to distribute them among protesters who had not eaten.
“When he called and asked, ‘Sir, whom should I deliver this to?’ I replied, ‘Please just give it to anyone who hasn’t eaten,'” he wrote.
According to the post, the delivery partner later responded, saying, “Aap toh bhagwan ho un logo ke liye.” (You are a God to those people)
Lhou said the remark reminded him that the protest had touched many people beyond those physically present at the agitation.
He said the post was not intended to seek attention but to encourage others to support the protesters in whatever way they could.
“I’m not posting this to show off. I’m posting this because I want people to know that you don’t have to be in Delhi to help,” he wrote.
He also urged people from Nagaland, the Northeast and other parts of the country to contribute by sending meals through food delivery platforms if they are able to do so.
The post has since attracted widespread attention on social media, with many users describing the gesture as a meaningful expression of solidarity with the protesters.
