Indian Army and Nagaland Police in a joint operation have arrested two rebels belonging to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-R) at Chekiye Village in Dimapur district, a defence PRO said on Thursday.
The team also rescued Shakil Ahmed of MSF Andhra Fish Company and handed over the cadres to the state police.

The security forces apprehended two active cadres of NSCN-R on May 31 from Chekiya village in Nagaland’s Dimapur, Defence PRO Kohima said in a tweet.
The PRO Defence further informed that Assam Rifles through its concerted effort motivated the active cadre of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-K-YA) to join the mainstream.
