A Slow Loris was rescued from Kichutip Ward in Mokokchung town was handed over to Mokokchung Forest Division for the necessary course of action on Saturday.

The slow loris was rescued by one Watinaro and her son lmlisunep Kichu on Thursday.

In a press statement, the Mokokchung Forest Division informed that the Slow Loris was retrieved by deputy ranger Imtitongdang and forest guard Lanuwapang.

This followed the coordinating of the department with the Mokokchung Village Council for the release of the primate.

The animal was released into their Yimlu Forest Reserve.

The department staff along with Range Forest Officer I Sashilemla and two village council members took the primate to the forest reserve for completing the process of release.
