At a time when the entire nation has been fighting against Covid 19 pandemic and observing 21-day lockdown, Seva Bharati, a Nagaland based NGO has come forward and extended its helping hand to the needy.

In response to a request made by the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur district, Anup Khinchi, Seva Bharati has donated 100 blankets and 50 mattresses to the passengers who are stranded in Dimapur Railway station due to lockdown.

State president of Seva Bharati Sankar Deb Roy and his team distributed the blankets and mattress to the needy.

“We are ready to provide our helping hand wherever required,” said Deb Roy.

He said that the country is passing through a critical time and with a united effort from all citizens along with governments, India can overcome the situation.

As entire country has been observing 21-days lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19, all transportation and communication services have been stooped.

Significantly, it’s only Manipur and Mizoram in the northeastern states where two positive Covid 19 case have been detected so far.
