The federation warned that failure to take decisive action against those responsible would compel it to take its own course of action to ensure justice for the victim and prevent the recurrence of such heinous acts.

It said the young student’s brutal encounter with the AVTS had not only left the entire student community in shock and disbelief but also raised serious questions about the excessive use of force by a few personnel of the law enforcement agency.

The NSF said the injuries inflicted upon Moalong revealed the gravity of the situation, underscoring the urgent need for a thorough and impartial investigation to bring those responsible to justice.

The All Nagaland College Students Union urged the Nagaland police to conduct an immediate investigation and take appropriate action against the police personnel involved in the assault of the student.

It said the incident had not only shocked the student’s family but also the entire student community.
