Nagaland registered 8 new Covid19 cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s positive tally to 11,866.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status on Tuesday said: “Update! 8 +ve case of #COVID-19 have been detected on 22/12/2020.”

The health minister informed that the new cases have been reported from Mokokchung and Dimapur districts.
While 5 cases have been reported from the Mokokchung district, 3 cases have been reported from the Dimapur district.
On Tuesday, 50 more patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have recovered from the disease, health minister Phom said.

While 35 patients have recovered in Dimapur district, 10 patients have recovered in Kiphire, 4 in Kohima and 1 patient recovered in Peren district.
So far, a total of 11,244 patients have recovered from the disease in Nagaland.
Nagaland currently has 417 active Covid19 cases.
Till Monday, a total of 69 people succumbed to Covid19 infection in Nagaland while 129 positive patients migrated out of the state.
