Nagaland reports 5 new COVID19 cases, state tally rises to 748

Nagaland has registered 5 more COVID19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s overall tally to 748.

Confirming the detection of the new positive cases, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status said:  “Update! 5 more positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.”

The health minister informed that all the infected patients are from Tuensang district of the state.

Meanwhile, the health shared that 9 other patients, who were earlier infected by the virus, recovered from the disease.

He informed that the recovered patients were undergoing treatment in the Tuensang Covid-19 Care Centre.

“And another 9 more COVID-19 Patients have recovered from Tuensang Covid-19 Care Centre. However, they will be kept under strict surveillance,” the health minister tweeted.

After the recovery of the 9 new COVID19 patients, the total recovered cases in Nagaland have increased to 313 while the active cases in the state stand at 444.

In the morning on Saturday, Nagaland registered 11 COVID19 positive cases.

Informing about the detection of the new cases, health minister Phom in a tweet at 9:20 am said: “Out of 310 samples tested, 11 more positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 7 in Kohima, 3 in Mon & 1 in Mokokchung.”
