Nagaland registered 42 new Covid19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 11,676.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status on Saturday said: “Update! 42 +ve cases of # COVID-19 have detected today.”
Of the new cases, Dimapur has reported 19 cases, Kohima 10, Kiphire 7, Mokokchung 4 and Peren district has reported 2 cases.
The health minister also informed that 64 more patients have recovered from the disease.
On Saturday, 31 patients have recovered in Tuensang district, 22 patients have recovered from Dimapur district while 11 other patients have recovered from Kohima district.
So far a total of 10,876 patients have recovered from the disease in Nagaland.
Till Friday, a total of 61 patients died of Covid19 infections in Nagaland.
Nagaland currently has 607 active Covid19 cases.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid19 caseload went past 98 lakh after the country registered 30,006 new positive cases in the 24 hours.
Out of the total of 98,26,775 positive cases in India, more than 3.59 cases are active while over 93.24 lakh patients have recovered from the disease.
With 442 more deaths, the fatality toll in the country now stands at 1,42,628.
