Nagaland on Sunday reported 19 new Covid19 positive cases in the last 24 hours taking the stateโ€™s total tally to 12,555.

Confirming the news of new cases registered in the state, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom on his Twitter handle on Sunday evening said the new cases were reported from three districts.

While Dimapur district reported 14 new Covid19 cases, Kohima reported 4 cases and Longleng district reported 1 case.

The Nagaland health minister shared that 8 more patients, who were suffering from Covid19, have recovered from the disease in Kohima.

So far, a total of 12,110 people have recovered from the disease.

Nagaland currently has 176 active Covid19 cases.

The Nagaland health minister said: โ€œThe present surge in +ve cases is a warning to all of us. The govt & the Dept is doing all it can to tackle the pandemic effectively like we did it last year.โ€

Health minister Phom said the COVID19 is not over yet.

He sought cooperation from the citizens saying that the government alone canโ€™t win the battle against Covid19.

Phom also urged the people to get them vaccinated.

โ€œCOVID19 is not over yet & all support and cooperation from our citizens to defeat it is required because Govt. alone canโ€™t win the battle,โ€ health minister Phom tweeted.

โ€œPlease get vaccinated if you are eligible and follow COVID19 SOPs strictly,โ€ he added.
