Nagaland has registered 18 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 896.
Confirming the detection of the new positive cases, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVId19 status said all the infected patients are from the Peren district.
“18 more positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. All cases are from Peren,” health minister Phom tweeted.

With these cases, Nagaland has recorded a total of 51 positive cases on Tuesday so far.
Nagaland currently has 556 active COVID19 cases.
In his earlier tweet at 10.01 am on Tuesday, health minister Phom informed about detection of 33 new positive cases.
The health minister informed that out of the 33 positive cases, Kohima reported 24 cases,, Dimapur reported 3 cases, 2 cases each were reported from Peren and Longleng districts and 1 each case was reported from Mokokchung and Zunheboto districts.
“Update! 33 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 24 in Kohima, 3 in Dimapur, 2 each in Peren & Longleng and 1 each in Mokokchung & Zunheboto,” the health minister said in his morning tweet on the state’s COVID19 status.
Health minister Phom also informed that so far a total of 340 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have recovered from the disease.
