Nagaland has registered 17 new Covid19 cases, taking the state’s positive tally to 11,954 on Wednesday.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status on Wednesday said: “Update! 17 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected on 6/1/2021.”
The health minister informed that of the new cases, Dimapur district has reported 15 cases, Kohima and Longleng districts have reported 1 case each.
On Wednesday, 22 more positive patients recovered from the disease in Nagaland, the health minister said.
Of the recovered patients, 19 are from Dimapur district and 3 are from Kohima district.
So far, a total of 11,603 patients have recovered from the disease in Nagaland.
Nagaland currently has 137 active Covid19 cases.
“Wear Mask, Keep Distance, Stay Safe,” Nagaland health minister Phom appealed to the people of the state.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 70 people.
A total of 134 positive patients have migrated from the state.
