Nagaland registered four new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday.

These new cases are among the 259 samples tested on Tuesday.

Among them, three are from Mon quarantine centre, and one from Kohima quarantine centre.

This was informed by state health minister S Pangnyu Phom through his official Twitter handle on Friday.

Phom tweeted:

‘Update!

Out of 259 samples tested. 4 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 +ve have been detected.

3 in Mon QC & 1 in Kohima QC.

Total State status as of 9:30 AM, 3rd July, 2020.

Positive       : 539

Active          : 342

Recovered  : 197’

As on Friday, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the State stands at 539.

However, there are 342 active cases in the State at present.

A total of 197 persons have so far recovered from the deadly coronavirus.

The State has not witnessed any COVID-19 related deaths so far.
