Nagaland, on Thursday, reported 64 fresh Covid cases and 125 recoveries.  

There was no death due to the infection in the last 24 hours, the Health and Family Welfare Department said in its official Twitter handle. 

It said Dimapur recorded new 12 cases, Kohima 21, Longleng 2, Mokokchung 18, Mon 5, Peren 3, Tuensang 1, Wokha 1 and Zunheboto 1. 

Of the 125 recoveries, Dimapur registered 19, Kohima 35, Mokokchung 21, Mon 5, Peren 6, Phek 3 and  Tuensang 36.

Meanwhile, the second phase of unlock process in Nagaland has been announced.  

The second phase of unlock announced by the Nagaland Government will be of seven days.  

It will begin from July 10 and will continue till July 17.  

As part of the second unlock phase, the Nagaland Government will announce further relaxations on COVID-19 restrictions. 

New SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) would also be released for the second unlock phase in Nagaland.

The decision to implement second phase of unlock in Nagaland was taken by the State government’s High-Powered Committee for COVID-19.  

The HPC also reviewed Nagaland’s preparation for the next wave of COVID-19 in the State.  

Moreover, as part of the second unlock phase, selected train service would also be allowed to operate in the State.
