Dimapur: The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) donated two ambulances under its CSR initiative to Tizit PHC and Wakching PHC in Nagaland’s Mon district on Friday.

Mon DC Wennyei Konyak handed over the keys of the new ambulances to the Mon Chief Medical Officer.

The ambulances were flagged off by Konyak to their respective locations, marking a significant step toward improving emergency medical response and healthcare delivery in the district.

He appealed to the PHCs to take ownership of the vehicles and use them judiciously to cater to the needs of the people.

He also expressed gratitude to NHIDCL for the generous gesture.

NHIDCL had earlier donated 24 basic life support (BLS) ambulances to the Nagaland government in April 2021 and four more ambulances to the Nagaland Police in October 2021.
