No vehicle, including two wheelers, will be allowed to be parked by the roadside from 6 am onwards on August 15 at the following routes – from BSNL telephone exchange till Classic Island, from Raj Bhavan till Classic Island and from Classic Island till Assembly Secretariat via Razhü Point.

Further, the stretch from High School junction to Assembly Secretariat via Sanuoru subway will be one way (down traffic) for light vehicles only.

All up vehicles will continue to take the Billy Graham road till further notice, the PRO added.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply from High School junction to Assembly Secretariat via Sanuoru subway.

All heavy vehicles including government buses shall take Tinpatti-DBS-Billy Graham-Secretariat road.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply in Kohima town till the programme is over.

The PRO further informed that all loading/unloading of goods in town should be completed by 6 am.

The PRO further added that no heavy vehicle will be allowed to be parked along the ‘D’ Block road.

The PRO also appealed to the public to cooperate with the traffic police.

The PRO, however, warned that defaulting vehicles will be towed away and fines will be imposed on the vehicle owners.
