Nagaland: Kohima traders’ body joins DCCI’s shutter-down protest on April 26

KOHIMA: The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has announced a one-day shutter-down on April 26, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, in solidarity with the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) in Nagaland.

KCCI president Kezhazer Angami and general secretary Henry Chisüte commended DCCI for its bold stance in expressing the grievances of the business community through an indefinite shutter-down in Dimapur, Nagaland.

DCCI’s decision to initiate an indefinite shutter-down from April 26 in protest against alleged harassment by Naga political groups garnered support from KCCI.

The challenges highlighted by DCCI are perceived as common afflictions faced by the business and trading community at large, prompting KCCI’s show of solidarity.

KCCI urged its members, civil societies, and the public to extend their support and cooperation.

Notably, pharmacies, hotels, and bakeries will be exempted from the protest to ensure essential services remain unaffected.
