Dimapur: The Nagaland government signed an MoU with T-Works of Hyderabad to scale up the stateโs enterprises through intensive intervention on World MSME Day 2026 on Friday.
The CEO of T-Works, Joginder Tanikella, and Director of the Nagaland Industries & Commerce Department, P Tokugha Sema, signed the agreement in the presence of Adviser to the Industries & Commerce Department Hekani Jakhalu at the Directorate of Industries and Commerce in Kohima.
The department observed World MSME Day 2026 with entrepreneurs, policymakers, industry representatives, and stakeholders at the directorate to recognise the vital role of MSMEs in driving innovation, employment, and economic development.
Adviser Jakhalu, the special guest on the occasion, acknowledged MSMEs from across the state for their significant contribution to the stateโs economy.
Jakhalu said the MoU with T-Works was signed on MSME Day to send a strong message that the state government is committed to bringing in top experts to support Naga MSMEs.
Deputy Secretary of the Industries & Commerce Department, Chonpenthung Ezung, said Nagaland aims to create a government-supported brand framework that promotes authentic, natural, and indigenous products.
He also stated that the initiative is not just about marketing products, but about empowering entrepreneurs by mobilising and onboarding MSME self-help groups, artisans, and cooperatives under a unified identity to transform local produce into recognised brands and create sustainable market opportunities both domestically and internationally.
