The Nagaland government has revoked its earlier order to shift the office of the deputy commissioner of Dimapur district in the state. 

The order was revoked by the Nagaland government on Tuesday. 

The development came following protests by various organisations in the district. 

The Nagaland home department has issued a notification stating that the state government’s earlier order in regards to shifting of the office of the Dimapur deputy commissioner “stands revoked”.

The Nagaland government in March this year had decided to move the office of Dimapur deputy commissioner to the new complex in Chumukedima. 

Following annouuncement of the decision, various organisations in Dimapur launched a series of protest demanding immediate withdrawal of the order.
