The Nagaland government is in the process of drafting Nagaland Film Policy to create the Nagaland State Film Development Society/Board, said state information and public relations director Tokishe Sema.
Sema said the society or the board will consist of members from among film lovers and makers, directors and production houses.

He disclosed this on the concluding day of the two-day free film acting workshop, organised by Find Studioz and sponsored by DIPR, here on Friday evening, a release said on Saturday.

Stating that Nagaland is blessed with beautiful landscapes and scenic beauties in addition to its rich traditions and cultures of 16 tribes, Sema said the colours of the state can be taped and explored in different art forms of cinema.

He hoped for better funding from the state government for promotion of films in the state.
Sema also said the IPR department, in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation, will organise the North East Hornbill Festival 2021 in December.
He lauded Rebecca Changkija, proprietor, Find Studio Production, for constantly training and encouraging the Naga youths in the art of film making and also for promoting films in Nagaland.
Expressing happiness to see a great number of participants in the workshop, Sema said the talents, skills and creativity of Naga youths in the field of film making can be channelised in the right direction with proper grooming and guidance.
Bollywood personality Jaswinder Gardner, award-winning media and PR professional Jutikaa Mahannta and writer-director Shiraz Henry were the resource persons at the workshop held at Musik A (Alobo Naga School of Music), Dimapur.
