Such detestable act will not be tolerated in this society, the statement said.

While condemning the incident, the students’ union of Nagaland termed it as a “ghastly act”.

“This type of abominable person is not worthy of calling themselves human and therefore deterrent to the society.”

“Such inhumane act should not be tolerated and the society must denounce such horrid crime,” the union said.

Further, the union appealed to the law enforcement officers to properly investigate the matter so that justice prevails upon those people who have been victimised.

“The union strongly believes that the law enforcers will surely give proper judgement as deemed to the accused and therefore it urges the law enforcers to bring out justice at the earliest,” the union said.

Earlier, the Dimapur Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) condemned the incident and said deterrent punishment must be given to the accused.

The Dimapur-based students’ union of Nagaland also appealed to the law-enforcing agency to strictly investigate the matter and punish the accused.
