Nagaland has registered 50 new COVID19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s overall tally to 4,178.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status on Sunday said: “Update! 50 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.”
The health minister informed that out of the new positive cases, 42 have been detecetd in Dimapur district, 7 cases have been detected in Kohima district and 1 case has been reported from Mon district.
“Contact tracing has been activated by our IDSP Team & all primary contacts are kept under self-isolation,” the health minister said.
According to the Saturday report of the Nagaland health department, a total of 3,419 pateints have rcovered from the disease.
The health department’s report also said the disease claimed the lives of 8 positive patients in Nagaland so far while 2 other positive patients died due to other causes.
The report further said “5 death cases in Dimapur” are “under investigation”.
A total of 10 positive cases migrated from the state.
