Nagaland has registered 46 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 3,851.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status said the new cases have been detected out of 582 samples tested.

“Update! Out of 582 samples tested, 46 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been reported,” health minister Phom tweeted.
The health minister informed that out of the new positive cases, 44 have been detected in Kohima district and one each case has been reported from Phek and Mon districts.
“Necessary contact tracing has been activated by our IDSP team,” the health minister said.

On Friday, Nagaland registered a total of 21 new COVID19 positive cases.
A total of 115 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, were recovered from the disease on Monday.
Health minister Phom in a tweet on Monday had informed that out of the 115 recoveries, 110 patients recovered in Dimapur and 5 in Kohima.
“All the recovered patients will be strictly monitored & be kept under constant surveillance,” the health minister had said.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 8 positive patients so far.
