Nagaland has registered 25 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 3,583.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID status on Thursday said the new positive cases have been confirmed out of 827 samples tested.
“Update! 25 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed out of 827 samples tested,” health minister Phom tweeted.
The health minister informed that of the new positive cases, 15 cases have been detected in Dimapur district, 9 have been detected in Kohima district while Mon district has reported 1 case.
The health minister also informed that 215 more patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have recovered from the disease in the state.
“Also State reports 215 recoveries of COVID-19 Positive patients,” the health minister tweeted.

While 192 patients have recovered in Dimapur district, 21 have recovered in Kohima district and 2 other patients have recovered in Zunheboto district, health minister Phom said.
According to the latest report, prepared by the Nagaland COVID19 war room, the total number of positive cases registered in the state reached 3,558 on Thursday.
With the recovery of 215 more patients, the total number of recovered patients in Nagaland increased to 1,921 on Thursday.
Nagaland currently has 1,648 active cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 7 persons in the state so far.
Another positive patient also died in Nagaland, however, according to the health department, the patient died due to other causes.
