Nagaland on Tuesday recorded 63 Covid19 positive cases, taking the state’s tally to 8,726, principal secretary (home) Abhijit Sinha said in his daily briefing.
Of the 63 new cases, 36 are in Dimapur, 18 in Kohima, eight in Mon and one in Tuensang.
Sinha said out of the 8,726 positive cases, 6,755 people have recovered so far and the active cases stood at 1,860. There have been 27 deaths due to the virus, Sinha said.
As per the severity of symptoms 1,764 active cases are asymptomatic, 70 mild, 16 moderate and four severe cases on oxygen, three are critical and oxygen while three are on ventilator, Sinha said.
Of the 8,726 positive cases, 3,815 are from the armed forces/ police, 1,636 returnees, 2,847 traced contacts and 428 frontline workers.
Sinha also said a total of 60,573 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and the results of 59,375 samples have been received.
Besides, 32,943 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 32,894 samples have been received.
Through rapid antigen test, 3,699 samples have been tested, he stated.
