Nagaland has registered 50 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 3,168.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet on Thursday said the new positive cases have been detected out of 232 samples tested.
“Nagaland Update! 50 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been detected out of 232 samples tested,” health minister Phom said.
The health minister informed that of the new positive cases, Kohima has reported
40 cases, 5 cases have been reported from Zunheboto, 4 cases have been detected in Mon and 1 case has been reported from Dimapur.
“Necessary contact tracing has activated. Wear mask, keep distance, stay safe,” the health minister further said.

As per the data, prepared by the COVID19 war room, Nagaland, the total positive cases registered in the state so far stand at 3,168.
According to the latest Nagaland COVID19 bulletin, issued by the Nagaland Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme of the state health department, Nagaland currently has 2,015 active cases.
A total of 1,139 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged from various hospitals or Covid Care Centres across Nagaland after their recovery.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 7 positive patients while another positive patient died due to other causes while 6 other positive cases have migrated from the state.
