Nagaland registered eight new COVID-19 cases on Thursday.

They were out of 316 samples tested on Wednesday.

This was informed by state health minister S Pangnyu Phom through his official Twitter handle on Thursday.

Phom tweeted:

‘8 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 316 samples tested. 5 patients from Kohima QC & 3 from Dimapur QC.

Positive       : 355

Active          : 207

Recovered   : 148

Death           : 00

Update at 9:05 AM, 25th June, 2020.’

Among the eight new patients, five are from Kohima quarantine centre and three from Dimapur quarantine centre.

With these new cases, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in the State has gone up to355.

There are at present 207 active cases in the State.

Notably, 148 persons have completely recovered from the dreaded coronavirus till date.

The State has not witnessed any COVID-19 related death so far.
