As many as four (4) branches of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Dimapur district of Nagaland have been sealed. 

The 4 SBI branches – SBI Main branch, SBI Golaghat road branch, SBI Rangapahar Branch and SBI Bazaar Branch have been sealed.

While, the SBI Main branch has been sealed indefinitely until further orders, the other three branches have been sealed for 48 hours. 

The order of sealing of these four SBI branches has been given by Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan.

These four SBI branches in Dimapur, Nagaland have been sealed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the district. 

Necessary sanitization of these four SBI branches in Nagaland’s Dimapur district would be carried out during this period. 

Notably, the Nagaland Government has already declared parts of Dimapur and Kohima as containment zones for a week with effect from 7 pm of May 5 to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the State.

Altogether 449 air passengers have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Dimapur Airport in Nagaland.  

These 449 air passengers have tested positive for COVID-19 after conducting tests of 833 samples that were taken at the Dimapur Airport between April 17 and 29.
