The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Monday submitted its five-point charter of demands to chief minister Neiphiu Rio, appealing for immediate action.

Appended by its president Katho P Awomi and general secretary Vimeyiekho Vitso, the union in its letter to the chief minister said it would stage indefinite hunger strike from Tuesday till its demands are fulfilled.

One of the demands of the union is immediate resignation of the director of Technical Education, Nagaland and action against those officials involved in the misappropriation of State Technical Scholarship funds amounting to Rs 1.32 crore.

The other demands included immediate action on nodal cell to implement all kinds of scholarship schemes, immediate action on settlement of Kohima Science College land issue and all other government colleges/institutes land issue, immediate advertisement of the 110 sanctioned posts of assistant professors through Nagaland Public Service Commission under department of Higher Education, Nagaland and immediate investigation of all kinds of scholarship schemes implemented in Nagaland funded by both the state and the centre.
