Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday affirmed that the focus of the current government was to improve infrastructure in order to facilitate and bolster entrepreneurship in the State.
Rio said this during the keynote address at the first Northeast Summit 2018 for ‘developing Northeast through the power of entrepreneurship’ held in Dimpaur on Thursday.
The two-day summit is being organized by Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Nagaland government, United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and co-hosted by International Chamber for Service Industry, reports Nagaland Post.
The knowledge partner is Frost and Sullivan and local partner is YouthNet.
Acknowledging various factors that have held back north-eastern region from developing and fully realizing its full potential, Rio, however, listed a slew of developmental activities undertaken by the State Government to show that the situation has changed dramatically today.
Calling for ushering in revolutionary changes brought about by “the magic of entrepreneurship,” the Chief Minister said the government was committed to change, reform and restructure.
On the future of entrepreneurship in Nagaland, Rio exuded confidence saying that the ingenuity of creative Naga youths will emerge as a major strength with proper logistic and technical support.
On the current positive trends, Rio said many Naga entrepreneurs were currently serving global clients, providing varied services including branding and graphic designing, product designing, photo and visual production, content writing and editing, music production, event management etc.
