The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on Thursday announced that it will be conducting the HSLC Examination 2019 from February 13 till 25; while the HSSLC Examination 2019 will commence from February 12 and end on March 4. Meanwhile, the Class XI promotion examination 2019 will also start from February 12 and end on March 5.

A notice from the NBSE informed that in the HSLC examination, a total of 23190 candidates are enrolled, which is an increase of 1491 candidates from the last examination. 15820 candidates will be appearing for the HSSLC Examination, an increase of 539 candidates from last year. Further 16772 students will appear for the Class XI promotion examination.

In order to help the students appearing these three examinations, all registered schools have to conduct coaching/preparatory classes till December 15 every year, the notification specified.

Schools have been requested to ensure that the students know about the design of the question papers. Students are also required to know the type of questions, the number of questions and the length of the answers to be written as per the type of question, etc.

“All schools are again reminded that it is the responsibility of the school to see that they take care of the students till they clear their respective examination,” the NBSE notification stated.

It further stated that in any assessment, the quality of the output depends on several factors.

“One of them is the support of the parents in mentoring the progress of the child in his/her studies. The responsibility of the parents as such, is very important and vital,” the NBSE statement further said.
