The Nagaland chief secretary on Monday announced that every person returning from outside will have to undergo a compulsory COVID-19 test.
The decision was taken after three persons in Nagaland reported COVID-19 positive.
State chief secretary Temjem Toy also informed that the patients who returned from Chennai are currently undergoing treatment at the designated COVID-19 hospitals.
Three persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on Monday, adding one more state to the list of infected states in the country.
With the detection of the COVID-19 positive cases, the state has lost the Corona-free status.
The three patients travelled from Chennai on May 19 by a Shramik Special train and reached Dimapur on May 22.
