An Air India flight carrying 112 stranded people from Kolkata landed at Dimapur airport on Monday.

They were received at the airport by agriculture production commissioner Y. Kekhito Sema, who is also Dimapur in-charge of COVID-19 activities, Dimapur chief medical officer Dr Tiasunep Pongener and other government officials.

According to an airport official, two Alliance Air flights carrying 13 people from Imphal and three from Guwahati also arrived at the airport on Monday.

The Kohima-bound passengers were sent directly from the airport after medical screening while remaining passengers were taken to Agri Expo site here by bus for further segregation and transportation to different quarantine centres.
