107 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected from Kohima in Nagaland in the last 24 hours.

This was informed by Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom on Wednesday.

All the fresh COVID-19 positive cases in have been reportedly detected from the St Paul Training Institute in Phesama, Kohima.

Following the detection of the cluster of COVID-19 cases, the entire institute has been turned into a containment zone.

โ€œThere shall be no entry or exit from the containment zone in any circumstances. This was important in order to map the diseaseโ€™s local transmission and prevent it from spreading,โ€ said Kohima Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie.

With the detection of the fresh 107 COVID-19 cases, Nagalandโ€™s total cases tally has shot up to 113.
