As part of the campaign, the NSF volunteers pasted posters at various locations in Kohima town and Dimapur town on Friday.
Some of the posters put up by NSF read: ‘ILP is now the only lifeboat to save Dimapur from illegal immigrants’, ‘We demand ILP in Dimapur’, Only the like of Judas will oppose ILP in Dimapur’, ‘ILP identifies illegal immigrants’, ‘Dimapur without ILP today, Nagaland without Dimapur tomorrow’ and the likes.
Earlier, the NSF had submitted a memorandum to the State Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio demanding inclusion of Dimapur district within the purview of ILP on September 24 last.

The students’ body also made an appeal to the Chief Minister’s office for a response within a period of 30 days.
However, NSF lamented that the reply given to the federation had no mention of the ILP in Dimapur district.
