Nagaland Governor and Naga peace talks interlocutor RN Ravi will hold a consultative meeting with representatives of civil societies and the Church in Kohima on Friday (October 18).

Representatives of 14 Naga tribes of Nagaland and United Naga Council (UNC) will also be attending the meeting along with Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Nagaland Gaon Burhas’ Federation (NGBF).

The interlocutor on Thursday held a meeting with NSCN (IM) leaders led by its general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah.

Naga Hoho- the apex tribal body of Nagas in Nagaland on Sunday said, “Any accord that does not honour the Nagas’ legitimate rights for integration, separate Naga flag and constitution is neither honourable nor acceptable.”

In a statement issued to the media, Naga Hoho president HK Zhimomi and general secretary K Elu Ndang said, “The three-month deadline set by the Indian government to solve the vexed Indo-Naga political imbroglio in the form of an imposed settlement is unacceptable to the Nagas.”
