The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) declared the results of HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2021, held from April to May, today.
In the HSLC Examination, out of a total of 23,608 candidates, 16388 candidates qualified with a pass percentage of 69.42. In the HSSLC Examination, out of the 16,834 enrolled students, 69.37 percent qualified in the Arts stream, 74.39 percent in Commerce stream and 91.35 percent cleared the exam in the Science stream.
The girls have again fared better than the boys in the HSLC examination this year with 8719 girls and 7669 boys qualifying. In the Top 20 list of 82 candidates, 24 are boys while 58 are girls.
In the HSSLC Examination too, the girls outperformed boys in the three streams. While 75.34 percent girls qualified against 62.68 percent boys in the Arts stream, 80.67 percent girls cleared the exam in Commerce stream as against 70.27 percent boys and 95.11 percent girls qualified as against 87.62 percent in Science stream
The examinations were conducted taking all necessary measures and observing all SOPs issued by the government. Re-examination was conducted from June 22 to June 25 for those students who tested Covid positive and their results were also declared along with the other students, the NBSE said in a notification.
