President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday greeted the people of Nagaland on its 57th Statehood Day.
President Kovind took to Twitter to wish the people of Nagaland.

The president in his official Twitter handle wrote:
“Greetings to the people of Nagaland on statehood day. Nagaland offers a unique blend of heritage, culture and natural beauty. My best wishes to all the people of this beautiful state for a bright, prosperous and peaceful future.”
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu also took to Twitter to wish the people of Nagaland on Statehood Day.

The vice president in his message said ‘Nagaland is a beautiful state with rich culture’.

He also wished the State in its ‘endeavours to achieve progress and prosperity’.
Naidu tweeted:
‘Naga Manu sob ke aji din statehood pa naam para khushi jonai di ase. #Nagaland toh hoile sundur state ekta, aro culture phale bi bishi dhun jaga ekta ase. Etu Pradesh aage aro sabse phal hobole karuni moi laga sobse unja akha janai dee ase. #nagalandstatehoodday.’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted Nagaland on Statehood Day.
Modi said, “Best wishes to my sisters and brothers of Nagaland on their Statehood Day.”
“This state is known for its great culture. The people of Nagaland are compassionate and courageous,” Modi added.
He further said, “May Nagaland scale new heights of progress in the coming years.”
Nagaland, the mountainous north-eastern state, became the 16th state of the country on December 1, 1963.
