All government offices in all the districts in Nagaland, including civil secretariat and directorates in Kohima and Dimapur, will resume functioning with skeletal staff from Monday.
In an office memorandum on Saturday, chief secretary Temjen Toy directed the administrative heads of departments, heads of departments and heads of offices to work out detailed arrangements of the staff who will need to attend office on a roster system.
Those not attending office on a particular day will have to be available on telephone and electronic means of communication at all times, he said.
The government also directed adequate arrangements be made for ensuring adherence to all social/physical distancing and necessary health safety measures in the offices.
In his statement on Covid-19 situation in the state on Saturday, Principal secretary (home) Abhijit Sinha said 70 samples were sent for testing till date. He said the results of all the 70 samples have been received and they are negative.
Sinha also said chief minister Neiphiu Rio held a meeting with all the districts task forces led by the deputy commissioners through video conferencing on Saturday.
Rio held the meeting after attending the meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing.
He complemented the efforts being made by all the district officers concerned for enhancing the preparedness level in the fight against Covid-19.
Rio said the vulnerable people facing difficulties during the lockdown should be taken care of. He asked everyone to remain vigilant and immediately bring any matter being faced by anyone to the notice of the chief secretary and other officers for redressal.
