The College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, Nagaland has prepared hand sanitizers and distributed it to the residents of Jalukie village.
Dean of the college Captain GD Rao in a statement issued to the media said, “The hand sanitizers have been prepared by the faculties of the college as per the World Health Organisation formulation.”

“The sanitizers were distributed to about 225 villagers of Jalukie,” Rao added.
“More sanitizers could have been prepared, but the raw materials required to prepare the sanitizers have exhausted,” Rao further informed.
“Moreover, due to lockdown the components like Isopropyl alcohol or refined spirit required for the preparation of the sanitizer could not be procured,” he added.

“Otherwise, the college can prepare more hand sanitizers and distribute it to the villagers as well as health workers to contain the spread of COVID-19,” Rao further said.
