KOHIMA: The people of Eastern Nagaland will abstain from the electoral process for the urban local bodies (ULB) elections in Nagaland.

This was claimed by the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) in a statement.

The ENPO reaffirmed its stand on its Chenmoho resolution, reiterating its decision to abstain from participating in the upcoming urban local bodies (ULB) elections in Nagaland on June 26.

Through a statement, the ENPO asserted its steadfast commitment to non-participation in the urban local bodies (ULB) elections in Nagaland scheduled for June 26.

Additionally, it announced abstention from engaging in any central or state celebrations or events until their demand for Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) is fulfilled.

The decision stems from the resolution passed at Chenmoho village on February 23 that mandates that the citizens of Eastern Nagaland refrain from involvement in any central and state elections.
